Post by query1 » Sat Jul 26, 2008 11:23 pm

Hi,
I am currently on work permit for almost last 3 yrs. Now if i move to dependent visa for say 2-3 months and the go for Tier 1 visa how will it impact my Permanant Residency? Will my previos 3 yrs still be counted or i have to start all over again

Going to dependant status would mean starting all over again.

However, if you switch straight to Tier 1 from wp, then your previous 3 years under wp may be counted when applying for settlement.
