Hi,
I've recently completed 5 years on Tier-2 (General) and applying for ILR. I'm applying for NARIC UK approval for my degrees and I understand from the post that I have to put family,settlement, and nationality as the immigration tier. But regarding the immigration route, shouldn't it be 'indefinite leave to remain' and not 'settlement'.

Thanks, for clarification, on the NARIC website there are 3 options given: 1) Family 2) settlement, and 3) ILR, under immigration route. If I say settlement now, then who the ILR option is for? just trying to understand the process better but there does seem to be some confusion here on the NARIC website.

There is only ONE option to select, that is Family, settlement, ILR and nationality
Family, settlement and nationality application have the same English level requirement at B1

Only when you select the first option, the 2nd dropdown menu appears asking for immigration route which has 3 options I listed in my previous reply (see link below for snapshot). I'm quite sure though that putting it as either ILR or settlement would possibly be fine.

For example, bank statements, utility bills, council tax bills, home ownership papers, payslips etc. I’ve soft copies of all the documents which I can upload during the application process but might be difficult to obtain originals for many of these documents.

When providing with the last month bank statement, do I need to have some sort of minimum balance? I’ve less than £10K in my account, would that be a problem?

It is advised to take all docs to be on the safe side if rescan is required. Your bank balance is not relevant to ILR

Also, what documents my wife and I can provide to prove cohabitation? Should this be for the last 5 years or only since the last leave (BRP dated November 2017)?

From some of the other queries in the forum, I've gathered that I need 3 -6 sources of documents addressed to me and my wife for the last 2 years for every 3/4 months. I have a further query. First, even though I've got the originals, is it okay if I just upload the online copies - it would be just easier if I don't have to scan. And if I should rather scan the originals - do I need to scan all the pages or just the 1st page of the document is usually okay? Passport I believe I need to scan all the pages. Please correct or confirm.

I have a couple of queries before I submit my application in the next few days:

1. My employer has given a soft copy of the employment letter with an electronic signature; would that be a problem? When I asked for the original letter, the HR said that handwritten signature is not a requirement for UKVI

2. When listing traffic offences, I have mentioned the ones from the UK. However, I have also been fined for speeding in the USA but I do not remember the dates etc. I wish to give this information but there is no place on the online form to mention this. I guess I can mention this in a letter, but can the letter be handed in during the UKVCAS Sopra Steria appointment?

3. Under nationality details, what exactly should I put in ‘issuing authority’? - I have an Indian passport but was last renewed in the USA and in the passport ‘place of issue’ – it says Washington D.C.

4. What is the end date of your most recent visa, leave to enter or remain or other permission to be in the UK? - Does this indicate the BRP expiry date? I am just confused because if it is, then this question is for some reason asked twice under UK immigration status and under BRP details.

5. In my wife’s application, what does the following question actually mean? - Does the period of stay on which this application was based include any leave granted since 11 January 2018? My wife’s BRP was last issued in November 2017.

I'm one of the fortunate ones to receive an email from the HO asking scanned documents to be sent to them. My UKVCAS at Croydon has been postponed until mid-June. I submitted my original ILR application online on 5th March 2020. Now, I've been asked the following documents to be sent by email:

Current employer letter
Full list of absences from the United Kingdom during the qualifying 5 year period
Personal bank statement within 28 days of application date confirming latest pay
Payslip to correspond with above bank statement
Confirmation if you sat a Life in the UK test prior to 21st March 2020

My question is when they ask for a current employer letter, do they mean the one which was issued to me on 5th March, or am I supposed to get a new employer letter issued in the last one month.
