ILR Application with near expire of Passport

Hello,

I am on a Tier 2 General Visa which will be expiring on 14th July 2020 and I have qualified and submitted an ILR application on 22nd April 2020. Due to COVID 19, I am unable to get appointments yet.

Here my issue is:My indian passport will expire on 8th August 2020. I have submitted my ILR application with my current passport details. I don't know when I'll get an ILR appointment with UKVI and "Indian high commission uk"  for re-issue of indian passport also closed.

Is it good to apply for re-issue of indian passport now or Is it right way to do both re-issue of passport and ILR application at parallel?

If i apply re-issue of passport now, I'll get new passport number. In this case, if my ILR application is still in progress. is any issue?

Do I face any issue with my ILR application due to the near expiration of indian passport?


Could you guys please suggest what I should do?

You should face no issues. Try to get your passport renewed asap and use that during your appointment. Also, upload a cover letter explaining that you got a new passport. case workers follow common sense

Do you have your ILR now or got appointment and done biometrics as from previous post your passport should have expired now.

i got new passport and i have submitted my application via IDV app which is re use of previous biometrics. So no need to book appointment.
