Long residence is calculated the same regardless of your visa route. No single absence of 180 days at any time.ki1246 wrote: ↑Tue May 05, 2020 7:05 pmThank you for your reply, someone said, I am under Tier 2 ICT, though I am applying long term route, they calculate the 180 days gap by considering a Full-year rather than at a time and said this rule is recently changed in 2017 somewhere around, does it true?, also from your answer I believe I can apply my ILR after my 10 years landing period completed, please advise? thank you.
He is talking nonsense. If this is what he claims, and I hope you didn't pay for such lousy advice, ask him to give you the official UKVI document reference.ki1246 wrote: ↑Thu May 07, 2020 11:24 amHi,
I have contacted one of the solicitors, he is saying that the rule for 180 days gap was changed in 2018/19, the gap should not be more than 180 days in a Year, not at a time for 10 Years ILR route, does it true?, if this is the case am I not be eligible to apply after my 10 Years completed in UK?, please advise, thank you.
Here is the official long residence guide: https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... -residenceki1246 wrote: ↑Thu May 07, 2020 12:20 pmThank you so much for your help on understanding this, even myself I explored a little bit with my limited knowledge on this subject, everywhere in Gov.uk and other websites, have seen the same rule its calling where everywhere as "180 at a Time", not a Year but don't know what their intention, they are asking for a consultation to check this with them, I didn't pay anything as this is a little advice, I am clear on my case, except the above gap,I don't have any other Issues, even there is nothing to look in, which is so clear.
You guys are so helpful and so trustworthy, we all are really thankful to you for your kind help throughout our Journies, once again Thank you so much.
If all tax obligations are met lawfully then there is nothing to worry. It is your employer's duty to ensure correct taxes are paidki1246 wrote: ↑Wed May 27, 2020 8:33 pmHi,
I am under ICT visa, my employer put me in NI Category X due to we merged into another company, new merged company is paying his tax and I am paying my tax but my employer is not paying NI, would this cause any problem for my ILR under 10 years route, if yes, if we pay the NI at the time of ILR application, would the application will get through or do we get any Issue, Please advise?, Regards.
