ILR Application with driving points

Hi

I am planning to apply ILR on 10 Year route this October. I recently got caught by police for a driving offence, driving without headlights on in the night (I genuinely forgot to turn them on- my mistake). I received 3 penalty points and £300 fine from Court and the offence is Driving without due care and attention - CD10.
(I never had any points before)

I heard that driving without due care and attention (Careless driving) is a criminal conviction but is not recorded in the criminal record and will not affect my ILR application, I would like to request the experts to please share their opinion
