Duration of stay for ILR

Hello

I had two queries

1.Is the duration of stay for ILR calculated from the date of entry into the country or date on 1st BRP
2. Is there any provision for application for citizenship for child who entered country when he was few months old but born abroad to Indian parents, after they get their ILRs

1. It depends what visa category you hold, which you have not stated.

2. No there is not. The child needs ilr first and can only apply for citizenship when either parent does and the other parent holds ilr.

Qualifying period starts from initial visa issue date.

Now heres the confusion for me.
Date of issue on BRP: 28 jan 2017
Date on issue of visa on passport: 14 feb 2017
Date of expiry of present BRP 14 jan 2021.

Should i ask fr a 1 year CoS or 2 year Cos to be eligible fr ILR in 2022.

Please help.
