Long residence ILR for wife on family route

Post by adeelabdullah » Wed Aug 26, 2020 10:01 pm

Evening everyone,
I am a British settled person and my wife is currently with me on FLR-M Family route visa for past 5 years. She is also about to complete her lawful residence in UK for period of 10 years in next few days.

Given that we thought we had option for applying for either SET-M or SET-LR, long residence seemed more easier or straight forward but when we opened the form page, it says if you are on family route, you can't apply under Long Residence.

I have just read full 45 page guidance on long residence ILR and it doesn't mention anywhere that anyone on family route is not eligible for this option. I am really confused. Can someone guide please.

All visas are counted.
