This seems like a generic email. However, UKVI may request anyone to submit biometrics in person after IDV app if need be. Make sure its not that?hemanthjava wrote: ↑Thu Oct 22, 2020 7:38 pmI used the IDV app to submit our biometrics and documents on 7th September. Today I got this email from UKBA
This letter serves to remind you that you now have 45 working days (from the
date of this notification) in which to make and attend an appointment to enrol your
biometrics.
Has anyone else received this? When I log into the app I can see that the documents and biometrics were already submitted.
Thanks!!!
Thanks Cullinan. Hope you will hear soon too. Good luck!CULLINAN wrote: ↑Thu Oct 22, 2020 4:24 pmCongrats bro! I have almost the same timeline as yours!Rambo_ILR wrote: ↑Thu Oct 22, 2020 4:04 pmUpdate: Received approval today. Good Luck to all!![]()
Hello imz2020, thank you for sharing the information. I hope we will get our approval soon.imz2020 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 22, 2020 1:30 pmHi Kindsoul, i have similar timelines as you. submitted application on 1st Sept then submitted documents via IDV app. I read in this forum that one would only receive an invite to use the IDV app if their Biometrics can be reused so basically you wont need to provide your fingerprints again. I too haven't received the any e-mail notification that im eligible to re-use fingerprints but i take it i am cz i used the app.Kindsoul wrote: ↑Thu Oct 22, 2020 1:07 pmCan anyone please help me regarding my query.l have submitted my naturalisation application on 1st September 2020 and submitted my documents and photo through IDV app on 14th September. But after that I didn't receive any email for my fingerprints. Is this is a normal process?
Will they use my old fingerprints or I should have book the appointment for biometrics on my own.
Or I should wait for the decision. I have already asked the same question before but no one replied. Sorry for asking again.
I will really appreciate your help.
Kind regards

Just carry the originals like passport, BRP, Life in UK, English Test, Referees. The staff will not check anything except the passport and the appointment confirmation. No need to print and carry any soft copies.kgnot wrote: ↑Sat Oct 24, 2020 8:24 pmI have booked my UKVCAS appointment and I need to bring the original documents when I attend. A colleague of mine who supposedly attended it said that those which are scanned except the referees do not need to be shown but I think this is incorrect.
But I also realized I am not aware of everything I need to bring and how severe is if I forget something.
I downloaded the checklist and I have the basic like the English proficiently bachelor, the id card, proof of living 5 years with HMRC letters.
But do I need to bring my Bulgarian bachelor degree? What about the screenshots that support the PCN? Nothing regarding them?
Do I have to bring my birth certificate of just my ID card and passport is enough? I am asking because on one hand have :
(bring) Mr XXX's proof of Nationality
And separately :
The national identity card issued by Bulgaria for Mr XXX
I hope you get my confusion.
You can self-submit also if you wish. There will be a submit button at the end (up to 48hrs before appointment).
I received the very same email on Thursday as well. Was hoping to see that someone had asked this question here, so thank you! (And glad to hear it's a generic email, and not an implicit reversal on my IDV invitation.)hemanthjava wrote: ↑Fri Oct 23, 2020 10:58 amHi. I called up UKVI and they confirmed its a generic email. I’ve submitted information to UKVI via the UKVCAS IDV App and have been requested by UKVI to attend a face to face appointment. What happens to my current application?
In some circumstances, UKVI may request that you resubmit your biometric information. This means you must book an appointment at a UKVCAS Service Point.
All documents that have been uploaded onto the IDV app will be available to a UKVCAS agent at a UKVCAS Service Point. There may be a charge for the appointment.
If it is only related to your child and not yourself, I am more inclined to think it may be a mandatory action you have to follow.novalicary wrote: ↑Sun Oct 25, 2020 5:21 pmHow is contacting UKVCAS best done? Email (for proof) or phone helpline?
Yes, the emails were received for our children (dependents). However, in our case, they were the only applicants. (Children born here while we were on Tier 2 General; we all got ILR after they were born, making the children eligible to register for citizenship. We, the parents, have not yet applied for citizenship ourselves.) So for us it's not a case of only having letters for some of the applicants.novalicary wrote: ↑Sun Oct 25, 2020 5:06 pmHi, we applied july 12 and submitted via idv app on sept 6. Today my son (dependent) received the same email although i did not, and he is on my application. I too checked on the idv app and all shows as submitted. Did you by chance receive this email for dependents only (who did not submit independently)?
Update: Called the UK Visas & Immigration Contact Centre on 0300 123 2241, which was the number in the emails. The first couple of options I tried were each dead-ends, with automated messages essentially telling me they could not provide me with additional information. The third option I tried directed me to the Coronavirus Information Help Centre (0800 678 1767). I got through to a human on that line pretty quickly, but unfortunately the person directed to contact UKVCAS instead (0844 892 0232), as "we've been getting a lot of calls about this lately, and they're the ones who will know more about your specific circumstance" (paraphrase). Searching that number pulls up some pretty poor anecdotes about very long wait times, so I'll DM them on Twitter first and see how that goes (thanks cullinan).
