ILR application with gap in visa

I was initially on a sole representative visa for 3 years. At the end of the 3yr period I had to go back to india for some official reasons and came back to UK on a Tier 2 general visa after 3 months in india. I am completing 5years in March next year. Would I still be eligible for ILR or would the 90 day break in visa be an issue?

If you left the UK and applied for the new visa within 14 days, then your 5 years will be preserved. Otherwise, you should start your 5 years from scratch under Tier 2
