Pay rise before ILR

Post by LaGek1 » Wed Nov 11, 2020 11:10 pm

Hello all, I have a quick questions regarding a pay rise I am set to receive this month.

I have been working for my current company since mid-2018 and did not receive a pay rise at any point until this month. I was previously on £65k and I am now going to £95k. I plan on applying for ILR in January 2021 as my first tier 2 visa was issued in January 2016.

I know that when there are large pay rises shortly before ILR, it can cause an issue for the application. Given that I was earning above the ILR minimum before the pay rise, is that something I need to be concerned about?

Not really. Pay rise is only a concern when there is a rise merely just to meet the salary threshold. As you were earning way above the threshold already, should not be an issue.
