Travel abroad with ILR application

Post by bubblegum315 » Mon Nov 30, 2020 1:16 pm

Dear all,

I have submitted my ILR application on August. There is not decision yet. If I travel outside of UK on Dec. without my deicsion, will it revoke my application? Do I need to re-submit and pay it again? What if I get my decision before travelling, but I did not receive the BRP card, do I need to re-apply it again? Can someone answer my questions. Thank you.

If you travel, your application will be withdrawn. If you have valid current leave, you can pay and apply again when you are back.

So even if I get the decision letter before travel, but could not receive the post of new BRP card, it will still revoke my ILR application? Thank you for your reply.

How do you plan to return to UK in this case?

Hi, CULLINAN, Thank you very much for your kind reply.
I need to have an emergent travel aborad for around 40 days in Dec., and I will return to UK in January. Currently I am waiting for the ILR Set O result. I have to take the travel, as it is engaged with a lot of things to solve. The local MP has just helped me to escalate. I just make the worse case, if I could receive the decision letter email, but did not receive the BRP card. Will it need to apply again?

No. Your old BRP will be invalid.
