I received my ceremony invitation via email and the only ref mentioned there is my UAN.
I received my approval via post and it has the Case ID i.e. “Our Ref” on it.

Home office reference is the same one mentioned in the approval letter(our ref).
While booking my ceremony, I was only asked my UAN. Not any other reference. Maybe differ with each council then.Home office reference is the same one mentioned in the approval letter(our ref).
This is what you will require while booking citizenship ceremony with the council.

Invitations are sent via email also. You will not get one post. Just contact your council for ceremony.Luna149 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 10, 2021 12:57 pmHi All,
Finally, I received invitation letter via email. The date on the letter shows 23rd December and advice to allow 10 days to receive it. Do you know why I still not receive it via post? Do the council accept the copy of the email? Or they need the letter?

My council is Newham but I'm still waiting for my invitation. I was approved on 5th Nov. Looking at timeline here, I probably have to wait until February for invitation.
I was approved on 9th of November still waiting same as you still waiting barking & Dagenham council I think invitation will be anytime. On the invitation you have ref number.
I applied in september and was approved 9 nov, I think we have at least another month to wait

CongratulationAJBel wrote: ↑Sun Jan 10, 2021 10:19 pmI was approved in August and my ceremony is at last taking place on the 21st of this month - Cambridgeshire Council. I was told I can take the ceremony without the invitation letter. I have been waiting for this letter for 5months now and still nothing.
I have sent an email again this evening after reading the thread so am hoping to hear from NationalityFrontEndTechnicalSpecialists@homeoffice.gov.uk
Meanwhile, Cambridgeshire Council has emailed me this:
——-
Thank you for contacting us.
We would prefer you to have your letter from The Home Office to attend the ceremony but we understand that The Home Office are currently very slow to respond to enquiries.
I have checked your paperwork and it does come with a photograph so I’m certain that we will be able to proceed in the event that you have not yet received your second letter from The Home Office.

Does this email from Cambridgeshire Council affirm that they now have my certificate? I am not sure what kind of paperwork they have in possession with my photo on it.
Hope somebody help?
Thank you...
I was approved on 22 October and still waiting as well. I wonder how long we have to wait? Not sure it is a good idea to email them since it’ll be 12 weeks this week.asifmahmood36 wrote: ↑Sun Jan 10, 2021 10:29 pmMy approval date was the 27th Of October 20 but still waiting for an invitation letter.
