SPELLING MISTAKE IN ILR APPLICATION: MIDDLE NAME

Hi all,

I am in a bit of a situation.

I completed the ILR Online application form on the UK Gov website but realized I made a mistake in my middle name - Middle name is OKECHUKWU but i incorrectly spelled it as "OKECHUWKU" .

I realized this before booking an appointment on Sopra Steria.

I have not booked any appointment for Biometrics.

What are my options:

Can I:

a. Cancel the application and start a new one?
i. will I be able to get a refund ?
b. Do I send in a "Cover Letter" explaining that it is a honest mistake and describing the situation?


I would appreciate if anyone can advise on this.

Send the cover letter, write that HO should use the one on your passport.
