Uncertain what we need to apply for!

My husband has been in the UK since June 2016. We appied and was granted his extension two and half years later. We are beginning to prepare to apply for ILR but are unsure about a few things we have come across. This board was such a help previously, so hoping you can answer this question. Could you please advise which ILR category we need to apply under, for example; SET O, FLR, etc. I am slightly confused. Thank you in advance.

Form Set M, when he qualifies to apply, or no sooner than within 28 days before the 5th anniversary of the date he entered the UK on a spouse visa (not a 6 months fiance visa).

Thank you so much for your reply. I remember you previously helped me when I had questions regarding my husband's extension.
We received his qualifying letter and we worked out we have until October 2021. Does this sound correct? It is a spouse visa not fiancee. Thank you again.

The residency period qualifying time for ilr starts counting form the date he entered the UK. He can apply within 28 days before that.

The latest he can apply is just before his visa expires.

My reference to fiance visa was due to some entering on a fiance visa to get married and then switch to spouse visa within the UK. The time on a fiance visa does NOT count towards ilr qualifying period.
