discretionary leave

Post by happytrish40 » Wed Sep 24, 2008 4:22 pm

Does any one know how long the HO takes to deal with extensions under discretionary leave,I was granted this under article 8 I believe as I am married to a british citizen and have a child. But I need to apply for another three years. Do you know which form to use as my entitlements says that I am free to use social services but then I have to tick the boxes on the FRL(m) form

You have to fill form HPDL (it's free). Here's some info:

And the form:

As for the timing - I've read on this forum that it used to take about 3 months (that was beginning of this year). Don't know how long it takes now - you can never be sure of anything when it comes to the Home Office.
