SET (M) Accommodation doc.

Post by Skyxx » Wed Feb 03, 2021 9:15 pm

Hi guys I’m new to the forum and must say I find it really helpful. I was wondering if someone can help clarify something based on the Accommodation aspect.
My husband and I own our own property. I’m just a bit confuse as a lot of the websites I’ve looked at have said you need to supply a housing report/ survey in order to determine if the accommodation is adequate. However even after reading the guidance it hasn’t stated whether that’s a mandatory/supporting document and on the list of documents that the HO have listed on my online application that wasn’t one of them. Please can someone let me know if a mortgage statement and title deed will be enough or do I need to pay to get a housing report done? If I do not sure if I can get one done in time especially with Covid. Thank you in advance

You do not need a housing report.

E-ECP.3.4. The applicant must provide evidence that there will be adequate accommodation, without recourse to public funds, for the family, including other family members who are not included in the application but who live in the same household, which the family own or occupy exclusively: accommodation will not be regarded as adequate if-

(a) it is, or will be, overcrowded; or
(b) it contravenes public health regulations.

Thank you for your time.
It is up to you. You will eventually have to scan your documents and upload. You get 45 working days to book an appointment. You should upload before the appointment or you can benefit from the self-submission earlier than your appointment also. See below.

Self-submission is OPTIONAL. If you want to benefit from the new feature, you must upload and self-submit up to 48hrs before the appointment. If you do NOT want to self-submit, you can upload ANYTIME before the appointment date and submit at the appointment itself. Self-submission is recommended as you may save some processing time - your documents are sent to UKVI even before biometrics in this case. You can self-submit only ONCE. But if you forget to upload any documents, you can always upload later on (after self-submission) and submit at the appointment then (you will not be able to self-submit again but can submit at appointment).

Read “self-submit” “submit” “upload”

PDF preferred.
Each file should be less than 6MB.

Thank you. I think its great you all have/know where to get all the updated info. I just feel like the information is scattered all over the .gov website.

Also I have paid for my visa and started uploading my documents.
2) Is my application now officially in as I have paid for it?
3) Is there Health Surcharge to pay at the appointment? Ps this is for SET(M)

1. If you put the liuk reference number in the form, this should be sufficient.

2. Date of application is the date you submit and pay online.

3. There is NO IHS payable for ILR!
