More than 28 days between 2 Visas

Post by Charl1e » Mon Feb 15, 2021 2:51 pm

Dear Members,

Here is my wife's Visa history

Entered the UK (Visa 1, expiry date 28/03/2014)
23/10/2013

Left the UK (before the expiry date)
28/02/2014

Applied for Visa 2 on 23/05/2014 (56 days after the expiry date of Visa 1)

Visa 2 issued for 02/07/2014 - 12/01/2017

Entered the UK (Visa 2)
19/08/2014

Would the time between 23/10/2013 to 19/08/2014 be counted toward my wife's 10 years long residence?

Many thanks to your kind reply!

Because she left the UK with a valid visa then the 28 days rule was not applicable to her.
Given that she left with a valid visa and returned within 180 days, her continuous residence was maintained under long residence
