Can't speak for other councils, but Harrow .Council is now accepting virtual ceremonies. Called then and got one booked within 48 hours. - now whether or not it holds is another thing entirely

Did the virtual ceremony. Just me and a staff.Lasted 6 minutes. Had to repeat an oath and allegiance. And that's all.

Please keep us updated as Northampton council went silent to my emails, they only responded once saying ceremonies are suspended and they are "looking at" virtual ceremonies

They have given me appointment on virtual ceremony for 20/03/2021

That's great, I will ring them tomorrow to chase my appointment

Finally, had my In-person ceremony. We were only 3 people. Lasted 10 mins. Was handed the certificate and a souvenir pen.

Northumberland county council

Applied - 21st September 2020
Approved - 23rd November 2020
Invitation received - 12th February 2021
Ceremony - 5th March 2021

Next step - Passport timeline.

Call the council on 03001261000 go through options to registration office and say you want to book citizenship ceremony, they will take your details again and tell you they will be in touch.

They sent me an email same day and now I have been booked in for ceremony via zoom on friday 12/03

Make sure your email is easily spelled otherwise if they make a typo email won't reach you and I doubt they call on the phone to chase it

Councils aren't open on a Sunday, so no, it is unlikely you can book a ceremony for a Sunday/weekend.

I also got my invitation letter...(dated 25/02/2021) I have moved houses since approval on 14/12/2020. I have been very anxious about getting my invitation letter. Glad it is over now. Ceremony booked for 26/03/2021. Good luck to everyone still waiting.
