Ltd Company need to mention of ILR application

Post by rmlm » Mon Apr 26, 2021 8:15 pm

Hi Freinds,

My wife is applying for ILR along with my kid, she is employed and meets financial requirements from her own employment(including dependent).
However, i am British citizen and working through my Ltd company in which I also added my wife as director.
Now for her application is it mandatory that we mention this status in financial requirements then all company-related documents like CT and Accountant letter etc. ( we are not drawing any salary for her through our limited company)

Is it ok to ignore this role?

Thanks in advance

That is a common mistake people make. Do NOT answer the questions literally on the form. The form is NOT a full disclosure. If she does not want to rely on that limited company, simply answer NO to any questions regarding self/employment or limited company on the form

Help with following ILR questions for spouse and son

Post by rmlm » Sun May 02, 2021 9:15 am

Hi Friends,

My wife and son applying for ILR as a dependent of British Citizen from UK ( their current visa is a dependent family visa or dependent of a British citizen, I got Citizenship by Tier 1, ILR route in 2014 )

Now below questions, we have please could someone help with your opinions

1. Do we use Set (M) or Set (O)

2. If we apply for super-priority visa service / same day service additional fees on top of application fee is £800 for the main applicant and dependent (or wife and son pay the same fees )? fee is I understand £2340 +£2340 for both.

3. Can my son register for Citizenship on basis of his parents One parent British citizen and 2nd ILR ( we got time for the current visa 3 months and eligible for ILR now, thinking of applying for ILR for wife first and register for son later)

Regarding application questions:

In application, there is below question in Finance section

1. Are you, Director of a company should I answer YES or NO ( My wife is a director for my limited company with no salary drawn, she got permanent employment of her own to be sufficient to meet ILR finance req for both the applicants). Our concern is if we answer NO am I giving false information here, don't want to send all company-related information as it's not actively trading at the moment due to IR35 last 1 year.

Thanks in advance

1. Set M if they have 5 years spouse/child settlement visa.

2. You pay ilr and super priority fee for each applicant. Ilr is £2389 each and super priority is £800 each.

3. If he was born abroad no, he needs ilr first. Your wife and child can apply for citizenship once they both have ilr.
