Earliest Date you can apply for ILR

I will be applying for my ILR in next few weeks on 5 Years Route. What is the earliest date that you can apply for it? Is it 28 days before the first date of entry to UK or is it the BRP Expiry Date?

Would appreciate if anyone can suggest based on the below dates.

- Date of Entry to UK - 6th August 2016
- BRP Place and Date of Issue - UK 16-07-2016
- BRP Valid Until : 21-08-2021

It depends what visa category your hold. Different visa routes have different rules and you have not stated your visa route. There are many 5 Year routes

I am on Tier General (5 Year) visa

It is the initial visa issue date you use. So 16 August 2021 minus 28 days.
