ILR application with unclear sponsor license status

Post by WHZ » Thu Dec 16, 2021 5:51 pm

Hi there,
I'm wondering if anyone could help me here.
Two weeks ago I was applying for ILR. When I filled in the sponsor's license number, it shows the number is not found. Then I checked the registered sponsor list, my company is not there. I then let my collegue check the SMS system and found the company's SMS system no longer can be log in. My collegue called Home Office but they couldn't tell us the license status whether it's expired, suspended or revoked but only told us we don't have a license and we need to apply a new one. The company then start a new application and trying to get the 10 working days priority service. However we still not being told the priority service application is successful.
My question is that if we couldn't get the priority service which means the it will take 8 weeks. During these 8 weeks, can I work? As not clear about the previous license status, I really don't know what to do.

You should not worry about this. This is your sponsor's issue. They must hold a valid licence and keep a valid license. You should keep working unless told by UKVI not to do so. Your ILR cannot be granted unless your sponsor holds a valid licence
