Hi again
I am sponsored by a local borough council but I work as a teacher at a school. I was hired by the school. They requested the borough sponsor me in order for me to be able to work there.
Who would write the employer letter? The school or the borough?
Many thanks.
Which is reflecting on pay slips and bank statements? The body that is fully involved in your hiring day to day administration of your employment matters. If one of them is not sure let them consult with each other and decide who does the sponsorship. Note that to not make your matter complicated all needed correspondence or documentary evidence should be from one source.

Ah, okay. My P60 and bank statement say the council is my employer. Thank you for the advice.
I anticipate the council will write on behalf of the school/say they have consulted with the school in the letter, stating that they will require me for the foreseeable future etc.

Hi all
Can there just be one employer's letter in which they confirm I had no unauthorised absences, they need me for the foreseeable future, will pay me xx salary for the foreseeable future and xxxx is my SOC code?
Or is it best/necessary to have two separate letters - one for absences, one for the rest?
Thanks

Thank you!
Does anything else need to be included in the letter aside from what I listed above? Eg commencement date of employment? Reference to indefinite leave?

Hi Zimba
So nothing is needed apart from
- confirmation of requiring applicant for foreseeable future
- confirmation of salary and that is will continue to stay at that level for foreseeable future
- SOC code
- absences were all authorised
Nothing else?

Hi again
I've just discovered that work didn't register one of my absences on my official record. However, the day off work (which is also a day I flew out of the UK) was approved by the head of school.
Would this be picked up by UKVI at all?
The employer will confirm in the letter that all absences were authorised.

Hi again
I'm confused by document date timelines.
I plan to submit my set O application on 18.03.
My monthly bank statement shows 6th Feb until 7th March. Would this date range be counted as being within 28 days of the application submission date of 18.03?
Also, I am paid on 26th of the month. Is this fine for 18.03 because it is 20 days prior to the planned submission date?
Thanks.

Okay, thanks!
Also, I have two BRP cards.
Initial sponsorship from 2017-2020 and renewed I'm 2020 until 2023.
Application asks for BRP issue date and card number. Which do I enter? If I enter the second one, it shows the issue date as being only 2 years ago. However, it is still valid whereas the earlier one has expired.
I plan to upload copies of both with the documents.

Hi again
Sorry, I'm actually confused about the validity of bank statement dates (see two posts above).
Does the start date of 07.02 of the bank statement not matter if I'm applying on/around 18.03?

Hi again Moderators
Thanks for your invaluable help so far.
As noted previously, I am a teacher. My borough is my sponsor and HR have written me a letter outlining all the necessary content. They included a sentence that said the head teacher of the school at which I am employed had confirmed all absences were authorised and approved with them.
Is this sufficient or should there be a separate letter from the head teacher confirming absence authorisation?
Thanks again

Thanks for the fast response, Zimba!
I'm so sorry. I didn't realise I had been doing that. I know how much it is disliked and hadn't wanted to fall into that hole!

Hi again
I applied for set O ilr on 13.3
My bank statement showing my payslip (as incoming on 25.2) is dated from 7.2 until 6.3
Will this bank statement be discounted because the starting date is more than 28 before the application date?
Feeling quite stressed as biometrics is fast approaching. Thanks.

Hi everyone
Just wanted follow up.
Received my ILR set O! 5 day fast track. Received notification from Home Atlas (look out for this email name) on third day after biometrics and the BRP card in the mail three days later. Notified by TNT early in the morning they would deliver and they were there by 10am. Notification from Home Office of delivery came a week later. Ignored email. Now I need to cut up old BRP cards and send them in.
Thanks for all your assistance, moderators and other repliers. I couldn't have gotten through this process without your feedback. All the best to anyone else reading this thread.

Hello All,
I have submitted an application for Indefinite leave to remain via the Skilled Worker route.
My application date is 17/05/2022 and biometrics appointment date is 25/05/2022.
The employer letter from my sponsor has the date 19/05/2022 on the letter.
Could you please advise if the date on the letter is acceptable or does it need to be before date of application?
Many thanks.
