SET(O)- When did you first enter and holiday before Job start question

Hi all,

I am somewhat in a situation where I am eliguible for IRL via 5 year and 10 year route, as I have recently completed 5 years of work in the UK (combination of Tier 2 and Skilled worker visas). I am applying for ILR via 5 year route as I require a somewhat quick decision (will apply using priority/super priority service) as my current leave to remain ends in June. My question is this:

My leave to remain for my first tier 2 visa started from 11-10-2016 (job start date was 7-11-2016). After obtaining the Tier 2 visa (I was on Tier 4 before this), I went on a holiday (17-10-2016 - 04-11-2016) to visit parents, before stasrting the new job. Since, this was before starting the job, that employer cannot write this in the letter they have provided for other leaves.

1. What should I say in the question 'When did you first enter the UK' ? 11-10-2016 or 7-11-2016 ? I have been here legally since both those dates?

2. If I have to put 11-10-2016, what/where should I write in the form to explain that this was before starting the job, so it is not mentioned by the employer in their letter.

You can put any one of the dates, as it is not important. Your eligibility has nothing to do with the dates you put on the application form
