ILR or Naturalisation

Post by monushh » Thu Jul 14, 2022 6:57 pm

Dear all,

I am writing this to learn about my 4-month-old daughter's eligibility for ILR or naturalisation?

She was born outside the UK when one of her parents had the ILR and the other was on a Tier2 general skilled visa.

Now, the other parent got the ILR as well.

The baby is on PBS dependent visa currently residing in the UK.

As her visa is expiring in less than 6 weeks I wanted to know the next best option for her to switch over from her current visa so that she can continue living with us in the UK?
  • Can I apply for my daughter's naturalisation directly as both the parents are now ILR holders?
  • Do I have to apply for her ILR first?
A prompt reply on this will be much appreciated!

Thanks and regards!
