Tier 2 to ILR

Post by bgurukishore » Fri Oct 07, 2022 12:02 pm

Hi, How many days older the employer letter should be dated ?

example:
if a visa was granted on 03-Nov-2017 and person arrived in the UK on 09-Nov. The person eligible for applying ILR on 13-Oct-2022.

So question is, when can the person submit application submission online ?
And the employment letter should be dated how many days older from the submission date ?

Count 5 years from the first visa issue date minus 28 days. That is the date you can apply. Any evidence should ideally be within one month of the date of your application

Here is my case:

1) Visa approved on 03-Nov-2017 outside of UK
2) Visa issued and sticker has been posted on passport with validity 04-Nov-2017 to 04-Dec-2017
3) Entered into the UK on 09-Nov-2017
4) Got first BRP valid 04-Dec-2017 till 26-Nov-2020
5) Renewed visa and current BRP valid till Dec-2023
6) My employment letter is dated 07-Oct-2022, and this is valid and acceptable if I submit application on 13-Oct-2022.
7) Can I count 28days from the date it was approved 03-Nov-2017 or issued 04-Nov-2017 ?
8) If I count my 28days from 09-Nov-2017 landing in the UK, 13-Oct-2022 is the date I'm eligible for ILR. So question is can I submit application on 13-Oct-2022 ?
9) Can I prepare application on 07-Oct-2022 and save it, but I can not submit until 13-Oct-2022 ?

You may count from the first visa approval date. Passport pages with all stamps in the last 5 years

Yes, Ecctis is the new name of NARIC. and you can prepare the application in advance to submit on the 13th when you will be eligible.

Thanks for your reply!

Please clarify below,

Question from application form: How many days, weeks, months or years have you lived at this address?

1) What duration I have to mention for this question?
Current Address/Address 1: I lived in addres1 from Jul 2019 to Aug 2021. Lived in addres2 from Sep-2021 to Jul-2022. Again moved into address1 in Aug-2022 and Started living in current from Aug-2022. So what duration I have to mention?

2) When did you start living at this address? - My answer is Aug 2022, is this still valid ?

3) Do we have to upload all P60 and P45 documents from previous employers since 2017 when I started working in the UK till today ?

Those questions are not important. Provide the best answer as you see fit. There is no requirement to send P45 or P60s.

The list is generic. Proof of residence is your BRP. The rest do not apply to Tier 2. Upload ONLY relevant information

If we don't upload, would there be any chance of delay in approval?

Irrelevant documents are not needed and will not be considered. UKVI may request any other documents if they need them

Thanks everyone to clarifying question.

Now I’ve received my ILR BRP, do I have to send all my Tier 2 general and skilled worker BRP’s back to Home office ?
