ILR Income calculation help please?

Hi guys would appreciate your help please

I’m applying for my wives ILR on 10th November 2023. We have one baby and would need to show £22400 to meet the requirement.

I started employment from 17th April 2023. I am paid 10.40x37.5hours = £390 a week. Let’s assume I am paid £1560 monthly x12 months = £18720. I also earn around £7000 per annum for my rental property. Combined earning = 25720.

Will we meet the financial requirement as I have only been in work for around 6 months 2 weeks when come to apply ( I was unemployed before this for several months).

Thank you for your reply. I am a British citizen and my wife came to the uk on a fiancée visa. We have successfully completed 2 flr m visas and we are on the 5 year route. Her 5 year term ends 17-11-23 (brp expire date) My son was born in the UK.

So your child is British. The child is not included in the financial requirement.

You only need to prove £18,600pa for your spouse ILR.

Note her qualifying period starts from the date her first FLR M visa was granted. Some believe the fiance visa time counts, it does not.

Ok thank you for that. So do I meet the financial requirement from what I have mentioned above? I would have only been in employment for 6 months and 2 weeks when I come to apply. I would be using this employment and my rentals income to meet the requirement. Thank you

If you are in employment for more than 6 months by the time you apply and your annual salary is above the threshold, then you do not need to even include any other income
