Sponsoring Parents

Post by seekit » Thu Jan 08, 2009 8:09 pm

Hi,

I am looking to sponsor my mother from pakistan. I am currently on HSMP and my first 2 years visa is going to expire end of June 2009 and i want my mother to come in April till start of June.

Is it possible for me to sponsor her with this short visa left? And if yes what documents do i need to provide?

I have heard that to show the accomodation proof, i'll have to show tenancy agreement and a letter from council. Is it correct?

Also i've heard that I have to supply a letter from a solicitor in UK i don't know what that letter is called and why do we need that letter? I think this is the requirement for Pakistan may be?

Can anyone please let me know the exact requirements who recently has done the same? Your help will be much appreciated

Thank you

Similar to US visitors applications, visitors should show strong ties outside the UK.
