SET (M) - Postal application

Post by The Confused One » Sun Jan 11, 2009 10:14 am

Hi

We are sending my husband's ILR application form by post at the end of January 2009. I have a few questions that i am hoping people can help me with based on their own experiences.

1) My husband spouse visa started on 6 Feb 2007 and he entered the country on 24th Feb 2007 - I understand that the earliest we can apply is the 27th Jan 2009

2) Does that mean that i have to send the application on the 27th, or can i do it the day before so that it reaches on the 27th?

3) What is the best way to send the application? (I was thinking of Special Delivery)

4) What would you recommend would be the best way to send the documents - currently the documents are in display folder, can i send the documents in the folder?

5) I know the form has to be downloaded and completed, can i staple the form together, or put it in display folders?

I am hoping someone can help me with my queries, thanking you in advance.

Kind Regards
The Confused One

Date of application is the date of posting (34G - 34I).

Don't staple the form...you can include everything in a folder, but make sure it's easy for them to sort through.
Post special delivery and keep the receipt.

Thank you Vinny and Casa...really appreciated.

Yeah he passed the Life in the Uk test last January 08.

I was thinking of putting the application in a Display Folder or Ringbinder and clearly index it. Do you think the HO are likely to accept this?
