Skilled Dependent visa extension

Hi Team,

Myself Bhanu currently on Skilled PBS dependent visa and applying for extension.

31st Jan 2022 - UK arrival as ICT PBS dependent
20th Sept 2023 - Skilled worker PBS dependent [ 2 years ]
Now applying for extension, in application theres an query

What date did you first enter the UK under your current visa category?

do i need to enter 20th September 2023 or 31st Jan 2022, please confirm.

My husband shifted to Skilled worker on 20th September 2022.


2) for my kid visa extension, she is currently 6 years old, we went to biometrics when she is 5, Do we again need to book for biometrics.
current Visa end date - 31st September 2025 - in case we need to go with biometrics , its a bit time taking to get the slots, is it fine if we submit the application before the visa end date or need to complete the biometrics too by then ?

3) Can we start applying as and when we got UAN number of my husband ?

1. Put either date, that's not relevant.
2. You just need to submit the extension application and pay the fees before/by the current visa expiry date. It doesn't matter if the biometrics are provided after.
3. You all can submit the application for extension together with the information already available at the time of application.

one more question - my dependent cos starts from 2nd october 2025 ends on 1st october 2027, our visas valid till 1st october 2025.
as now we are planning to apply for extension, its considering IHS fee for 2.1 years instead of 2 years and showing fee payment for 2.5 years, How to avoid this. please suggest. Thank You.

Your current visa is skilled worker/skilled worker dependant, once you switched the ICT visas are no longer valid.

When paying IHS for part of a year this is charged as half the yearly cost, you cannot pay 2.1 years etc. See: https://www.gov.uk/healthcare-immigrati ... w-much-pay

Have paid both IHS & Visa fees, during the application its asked me to upload passport, and consent forms, however at the end in document upload it says no need to upload any documents..

If you wish to withdraw your application before you select ‘Confirm and submit’, you will get a refund of your visa fee and of your Immigration Health Surcharge fee if you paid it.

If you withdraw your application after you select ‘Confirm and submit’, you will only get a refund of your Immigration Health Surcharge fee.
