DOes Time Spent on Student Visa count towards Dependant count on 5 years route SWV?

Hi,

I am asking to know if time spent on Student visa counts towards 5 years skill worker dependant count. I know the dependant is meant to be on the main applicant dependant Skilled work visa for at least 5 years before they can apply for ILR. Let me paint the scenario more clearly. I came in a student January 2021, spouse joined my as student visa dependant December 2021. September 2022 my spouse got Skilled worker visa and I became her dependant, This skilled worker visa has just been extended for another 2 years when we would be both eligible for ILR (august 2027 I believe). I was just wondering if there was a way I could apply for ILR in January 2026 counting my time on student visa, seems far fetched but just thought to ask. It does not count.

You also cannot get ILR as a Skilled Worker dependent visa holder based on 5 years before the main skilled worker visa holder.

The topic you link specifically ask about time as a student dependent and skilled worker dependent combining time, which is possible.

What is not possible is using your time as a main student visa holder with the current dependnet visa to get ilr. The key is being a dependent for 5 years.
