yes the bill will go in 9th march and they will keep on discusiing arguing.. and few weeks will past then just few days before apri 1st they will say every one including current HSMP holders have to meet those requirements.. thats their plan , so that we get as less time as possible to appply before april!!! so every one suffers any way..highly skilled wrote:So judging by what I have read on this forum we now wait till the bill goes to parliament on March 9th? Very ambiguous situation with regard to who is going to be affected.
I don't think it's something to do with new changes. It looks more related to failure in their payment system. Updating document does not require to stop a section of system.parikhdhaval wrote:Finally we should get some idea in couple of days as HO is updating their website...
Due to essential maintenance the points-based system section of this website will not be accessible from 0000 hours on Wednesday 4 March to 0200 hours on Thursday 5 March.

this is exactly there plan is. to give as less time as possible so that HSMP holders get no time to prepare them selves to apply before april. how pathetic it is, today is march 4th 2009. and they will make drstic change from april 1st 2009 and wants every one to fullfill that law and still there is no guidiline.cadari wrote:Or to spread more panic by making people wait
i have already emailed them as soon as this new rules were introduced. but i didnt get any reply from them yet. i dont know if any one has any other source of contact. yes they are experienced and we should seek their assistance.umanghere wrote:Hi Chandra,
What if we contact hsmpforum which is a organization set up to support and assist skilled migrants in the UK

They have the right experience and probably are already aware of these new rule changes.
Does anybody on the forum is a member of this group or know somebody and we can talk to them?

If HO reduces the points currently awarded for holding Master's Degree to that awarded for Bachelors Degree it will be a double whammy. Ppl holding masters too might fail to qualify as there could be a shortfall in points they score on account of the aforementioned reduction in point...... earlier it was a grey area, with all these speculations floating around, the only colour I see is Black.
Take into account they are a visa assistance company, so its in their best interests for people to be applying for visas early.. I'm not saying it's not true, but it would certainly be good for business for visa companies if HSMP holders had to get their Tier 1 applications in early.
I will keenly be watching on the UKBA announcement to see if this is true. If false, I will be very interested to know how this company reacts.waz1234 wrote:Take into account they are a visa assistance company, so its in their best interests for people to be applying for visas early.. Its not just us who are frustrated due to lack of clarity on the matter. See below from House of Lords II day proceedings:mail2z wrote:

The time has now come to voice our resentment direct to the Prime Minister, about the proposed retrospective changes to HSMP.
I have created an e-petition, request you all to sign it for creating pressure on the government to do justice to us.
