Urgent treatment request after sending the application.

My friend badly needs an advice for his HSMP extn application that he has posted on 1st March. His visa will be expiring by end of July 2009. His wife is pregnant and cannot travel after 27th May. He has not send any urgent treatment request while applying for their extension (but applied 5 months before visa expiry).

Now he wants to send a request for urgent treatment of his and his dependants' applications. How can he send this request now? What all documents are required to be send? Is there a chance that they wont consider his request and will proceed as per their normal timelines or return back their application?

Has anybody gone thru this (or similar situation) before? Please help.

i can answers soem questions of you..

1. If you know the date you are planning to travel..
2. Book the tickets
3. Get the urgent treatment application from the below site..
http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... smp/urgent
4. send a letter with the UT form filled mentioning your Reference No HO Sent you on your application sent on 1st march

Docs to be attached are confirmed Flight tickets, UT form, Cover letter

and main thing is make sure you send UT atleast 3weeks before you plan or date of your journey (earlier we adviced atleast 2weeks)

But now-a-days applications are moving very slowly so send atleast 3weeks before..
