Albanian Fiance Visa

Post by DANUBE » Fri Apr 24, 2009 4:26 pm

Hello All

I'm hoping someone can help answer my qauestions, it would be greatly appreciated. Basically - my Alabanian Fiance and I are planning to get married in Albania and apply for a fiance/spouse visa. We have appointed a solicitor and I have read through many posts which have indeed helped me prepare so far. However, are the following things likeley to impact on my fiances application.

I am thinking about entering into a debt management plan - I already have more than the £94 a week which I understand is a requirement rule but I'm wondering if they would use the debt management plan as a refusal point ???

Also - when I prepare the income and expenditure form should it include absolutley everything - i.e petrol, car insurance e.t.c or just loan payments and general bills etc - my outgoings are not alot as I live with my mum at the moment.

You will need to include rent and bills and as you will be supplying your bank statements they will be able to see your incomings and outgoings.
You need to prove you have the £94 per week.

You don't need to include personal spending, travel etc., but you will need to show outgoings for rent, loan repayments, and any contribution to
household bills, council tax etc.

First of all, congratulations on your forthcoming marriage! My husband is also Albanian and at the time we got married (December 2006) I had quite a few debts and even a couple of CCJs. Although I hadn't entered into any kind of debt management plan, I had done in the past prior to meeting him. This didn't seem to go against us as I was working full-time and supplied them with all my payslips, bank statements etc. I think they're just interested in your income and main outgoings - rent/mortgage payments, utility bills (if u have any - we didn't as we were living in a shared house!), and then approximately what you would spend on food, travel etc. My husband got his 2 year visa in March 2007 and just this year March 2009 was granted indefinite leave to remain - just one more hurdle to go and that's British citizenship! Good luck to you with your application - I do firmly believe that if you're in a genuine relationship and you're working and/or can live without access to public funds and you provide everything they ask for, they will give u the visas. During my husband's 2 year spouse visa he also applied twice for a Schengen visa to visit Europe and once for a visitor's visa to Canada - he was never refused any of them as we provided everything they ask for but I think the most important things are payslips and bank statements to show your financial means! Good luck!
