Visa Stamped: ..... still waiting
I've have been waiting for over 6 weeks now and no visa extension. Does anyone have any idea why or how to find out what is happening?
I have called the home office but they won’t give an update on the visa application until 14 weeks have passed.
Thanks for the reply....I have also submitted just passport and of course checked the box for claiming points..hope they consider it....baldude wrote:I had asked to refer to my passport for the proof of my age....mayhsmp wrote:Can we please know what reason they gave for not giving age points... What proof you had submitted for age?
interesting enough that the approval letter I had received claims i have not claimed any points for my age.....there must be some dumb person handled my case.....coz i filled 3 mock applications before filling out the final one and 3 independent pair of eyes checked the application for any possible mistakes before i posted....i still got the coverting letters i had sent and clearly claimed points for my age......

I am applying for an extension (early) of HSMP (to Tier ). Anyone who can help on what docs are to be submitted along with my wife's dependant visa extension application?
Can I submit our applications together in same envelope? Or does it have to be different packs even if we apply at same time by post?
Marriage certificate required? original with my app or my wife's?
Thanks.

I'm planning to apply for FLR next month and would really appreciate it if someone can share their extension cover letter formats or point me to any posts where someone has posted.Iv'e being looking around in the sticky notes and other posts but couldn't find any.
Thanks in advance.
Mate, if you earn enough money in less than 12 months then you don't have to show all 12 months pay slips. For example, if you have earned 23000 in 6 months and you can prove it by 6 Months Payslips from your employer and evidence going into your bank account for all those 6 months then you don't have to worry about 12 pay slips. The guidance notes say as long as you earn enough and meet the requirement, you are fine.sastha wrote:Hello everyone, I hold a HSMP visa issued in March 2008. I entered UK in April 2008 and got into a job in December 2008. My role was made redundant since June and i have been looking out for jobs. I can see myself being picked up soon in October 2009. The clarification i seek to make is that of HSMP extension.
my hsmp visa expires in March 2010. I understand that under the extension rules, one has to show any consecutive 12 month period. In that case , assuming i show from Feb 2008 to Jan 2010, my earning points do not make me eligible for the extension. The only way i see is to break my earning into 1. From Dec 08 to May 09 and Oct to Jan 2010.
The earning potential needs to be shown for any consecutive 12 months out of the 15months immediately prior to appyling for extension. As i mentioned earlier, i have to break up my earnings from Dec 2008 to May 2009 and Oct 2009 to Feb 2010 because i can claim points based on my earning potential only if i show it this way. I comprehend this period is within 15 months but not consequtive 12 months. Will this pose a problem or can i explain the situation in the cover letter while applying for extension as i was between jobs from June to Sep 2010?
Any assistance in this regard would be appreciated!
Thanks,
You can continue to work if your application is with HO and your leave has expired. You can also tell your employer that your application is currently being processed and they can contact HO directly for an update. This issue has been discussed in this post.mayhsmp wrote:Hi,
I had a query regarding extensions? My visa is expiring 15th Sep.. I have applied for visa on 18th Aug, ref no received 21st Aug. I am eagerly waiting for visa since I need to give the details at work.
I want to know if home office considers the visa expriy date and give the extensions before that? Or do I need to request HO about urgent consideration here?
Many thanks
