UK initial application help

Post by ali_hsn » Fri Sep 04, 2009 2:57 pm

Hello everyone,

I have been a silent observer on these forums for quite sometime now. Now that I am applying for Tier1 I need your expert advice. I am already on Workpermit and want to switch to Teir 1. Unfortunately, I could not do a walk in as no slots available. I am applying within a week. Here are the documents for my tier 1 application.

- 2 passport photos
- Points based calculator screen shot printouts

** Education:

- Original Degree Certificate from UK
- Original Transcript

** Earnings:

- 52 Payslips and letter from accounts all stamped and signed ( I get paid weekly).
- Original Bank Statements
- Letter from my Employer

Question 1 : There are couple of weeks that I got paid in cash and I cannot prove them with bank statement. Shall I still put them on or leave them out completely?

Question 2: If I leave those weeks out, would there be a problem having some weeks missing? Can I leave them on but not count them towards the earning total?

Question 3: Finally, I have also done some free lancing and would like to show that with earnings. I have got a letter from the company I did some work for plus the copy pay cheques awarded (also on bank statement)

** UK Experience
- UK Degree and UK Work experience (letter from employer)

** English Language:

- UK university also on points calculator, degree awarded 2006

** Maintenance Funds:

- Bank Statement (same account as for salary)

** Age:

- Original Passport

Thanks,

If you get enough points from the current pay slips you can leave them off and mention it briefly in the coverletter...

Again if u have enough MAX points achieved without these u can leave but if u want to add these get a proper letter from the employ in the Gross - Net - Salary Date/month - Tax - Cheque no. so that it matches witht he bank statements

thanks for the prompt reply and pdf advice.

My problem is just with the earning section :
1. If I leave those weeks out, I drop tremendously and dont qualify.
2. The only other alternate I see is that I can prove that I got free lance project which I can prove on my bank statement. There is no gross or net amount on that letter. Just states, agreed to provide this service for the net price of £xxxx.xx with the stamp and signature.

My question is that if I leave those weeks on, and mention it in the coverletter that those weeks are not to accounted as I cannot prove them with bank statement, will that be ok?

My second question is that the proof for this free lance earning is that ok ? I have got the copies of the cheques and bank statement, along with the details of project on the company letter head.

Can you prepare a letter with table having

Gross - Net - Salary Date/month - Tax - Cheque no.

And get it signed with ur employee where u worked on free lance project.. attach the below mentioned copies of the cheques for more solid proof..

The case worker checks Pays month by month and a consolidated letter will not solve the problem

My question is that if I leave those weeks on, and mention it in the coverletter that those weeks are not to accounted as I cannot prove them with bank statement, will that be ok?
Caseworkers are not so generous.. they see ways to reject ur application.. i think it may create confusion..
i advice you to Put up your BEST and leave the rest to god..

As mentioned above.. if you can get a letter and attach these photo copies of pay cheques+Bankstatements, they should be good proof or ur earnings.. But a proper letter from employer is the best solution in this situation..
i am sorry if u think i am saying the same thing again n again about the letter.. we shd give the best proofs so that we are sure HO can only approve n no chance to reject our application..

if not please wait for other seniors to chip in with better solutions..

Hi.

thanks for your reply. The problem is:

I have already got the letter from the company I worked for (free lance IT project), along with the proof of mode of payment. This can be verified on the bank statement. There is nothing declared as Gross, Net and no mention about the tax. According to the homeoffice, there should be a letter from the accountant. Now because I dont have one, I can only file these earnings at the end of the tax year.

Will a simple letter (stating that £xx,xx amount was agreed for the project and this was the mode of payment) do? or do I need something else to support my claim.

regards,
all is well that ends well

Hello seniors,

Thanks to these forums, I could get my coverletter sorted within minutes. I have marked the salaries on the bank statements with the pencil. I was wondering if any senior member would go through and give me their thoughts before I send it off on Friday.
