Entry to UK

Post by houman1979 » Fri Dec 11, 2009 2:11 pm

This question asked so many times but I am asking again as I saw confusing answers:
My visa validity starts from 11th Nov 2009 until 11th Nov 2012. In my application form I asked for 1st Feb 2010 as travel date but it seems that they ignored it and when I asked embassy to change the entry date they didnt accept.

Now I am planning to travel on 28th March 2010, then will I face any problem or there will be no problem?

Regards

if i were you i'd travel straight away. also if you out of country for more than 90 days in your case, it'll more than that.

get yourself here as soon as and settle here and be a part of this economy.

The only thing for you to worry about is ILR, which comes after 5 years of staying in UK (plus some other criteria). But that seems to a moving post at this time. Unless you want to plan that ahead, you dont need to worry. You can come in march.

Thank you for your help, but I have some difficulties here, in addition I don't know that currently if the job market is good in the UK or not. If you guide me about that I'll be happy I can work in IT and Accounting profession.

By the way, I am worrying about rules, as I searched there is no problem in traveling after start date but I want to be sure that there will be no problem on the entry (which I think there will be not).

There is no problem with any dates you want to travel. You have to make sure that when you land in UK you have a valid visa. IO wont be knowing what date you have entered in your application form for Tier 1. You can travel as and when you want and there is no problem.

This 90 days rules apply only after you land in UK and not from the date of your stamping of visa. Since the ILR goal post is moving you dont have to worry about 2nd extension now itself.

Hi

There wont be any problem in travel, the IT market is dry now and not many calls, most of the jobs are given through reference and it may pick up in 2010.
