Doctor in training

Post by vatchsala » Wed Dec 09, 2009 9:11 pm

Dear every one,

I applied for my extension of HSMP visa on the 16 th of November 2009. My original HSMP was granted in April 2007 and got it stamped in November 2007. In my initial stamping no restriction was placed about my work.

I got my visa extended for 3 years. But they said not for taining jobs.

I am currently not in a training job, entirely due to family reasons,( in fact left one) but was very much hoping to apply for one in Feb 2010. This restriction in my visa now takes of my eligibility criteria to apply for training jobs.

Is any one affected by this. How do I go about to rectify it`[/b]

Tier 1 (General) Policy Guidance page 13 of 44 wrote:Conditions applying to applicants
(iii) no Employment as a Doctor in Training, unless
- the applicant is applying for leave to remain and has, or has last been granted, entry clearance, leave to enter or leave to remain that was not subject to a condition restricting their employment, whether that is employment as a Doctor in Training or otherwise,
and
- has been employed during that leave on an NHS Foundation Programme or as a Doctor in Training.

48. Applicants who are currently working as a ‘Doctor in Training’ should submit the documents specified in Annex D of this guidance. Where an applicant does not include all of the requested information, any grant of leave will be subject to the ‘Doctor in Training’ restriction.
Looks like UKBA has shut the door for anyone who's not in training posts at the time of their Tier 1 application (initial / extension).
