Allowed appeals are dealt with by the Appeals Implementation Unit (AIU) in Leeds, UK. They have to officially send the Judge's Determination Letter to the overseas post before Islamabad issue a call letter. My MP got confirmation from AIU in January that they have a 6 to 8 month backlog. It is getting better but my call letter still took just over 4 months to arrive, following MP intervention.

The AIT state it usually takes 6 to 8 weeks; you should prepare yourself for a wait of up to 3 months or so.

Sorry, forgot to mention the positive which is that Islamabad seem to be taking less than a month after passport resubmission to send back ready for collection; my husband's took exactly 3 weeks to stamp and return.
