Urgent Please - Maintenance Funds (latest bank statement)

Post by abhijoshi09 » Mon Jun 21, 2010 10:40 pm

Dear Experts,

I have Personal appointment on 23rd June at Croydon PEO for Tier1( General) visa.

The latest bank statement I have is for period 24th April - 23rd May 2010. The bank statement for period 24th May onwards is not yet received. I even asked my bank branch to give me bank statement from 24th May till date but bank told me that they have stopped issuing prints on bank letterhead and have stopped issuing stamp and sign on bank statements. This is HSBC bank.

So I had to request the bank statement from 24th May till 19th June delivered to my home address through ATM option (that is the only way to get original bank statements now at HSBC delivered to your home address only, no prints, no letterhead, no stamping and no signing), now I requested this through ATM on 19th June and it will take 5 days to reach me, so it is almost as if I won't have it during my visa appointment on 23rd June.

The UKBA requirement says that the latest bank statement should not be older than 1 month.

Will I be in trouble? If yes, I need to cancel my appointment. Can I just cancel it on previous day without having any repurcusions on my visa processing later on.

Thank you in advance. Please help urgently.

Try with another branch and see if they can stamp the statements. Also try and speak to a manager and see if he can help.

Thank you.

If I want to cancel the personal appointment, do I have to absolutely call them to cancel it? They have given the phone numbers but as usual it takes lot of time to reach those phone numbers. What if I just don't appear on the day ? Will it affect badly on my next appointment for visa ?

I am planning to back off this time and will reapply after some time. As this is personal appointment, I have not paid anything yet.

Thanks for your help and support.

It is always a good idea to cancel your appointment. It will be useful for others waiting for one.

Thank you aruni4470 for your kind and promt help.

I am of course trying to reach the phone numbers since yesterday and will of course try all day today to cancel appointment. But just in case, if I wont be able to cancel it on phone, will it have any negative consequences on my visa processing next time.

I am planning to book another appointment immediately through online system (which might be 4-6 weeks from now).

Not sure of the consequences.
