question about spouse visa. can someone offer me advice...

Post by pancake » Tue Jul 20, 2010 8:27 pm

Hi guys
I have a few quick questions. I know you'll probably say search old posts but i tried and couldn't find much. These q's are regarding the spouse visa. My husband and i got to know each other in May 2007 (I'm from London and he's from Delhi, India). We got married last month.
The first time i had booked a ticket for a 5 day trip. I was in university at the time and living with parents. They had gone on holiday and i decided to visit India secretly. They're very traditional and if they had found out i'd probably have to leave home and my studies would be ruined. They were close to finding out and so i only stayed in India for 2 days. I had booked a single ticket right away. In my passport arrival is 10th jan and departing is 11th jan. How can i explain this to the ECO? Does it look stupid? My 2nd meeting was 5 days and 3rd meeting was 10 days. And during the marriage time i spent 21 days with him.

Second q. We may be likely to live with my grandpa when my hubby comes. He has a big 5 bedroom house and lives alone. So do i just show the title deeds from the Land registry and a letter of approval from him? (the house was freehold many years ago)

Even if we submitted pics would the ECO believe it? I mean we'd obviously be honest but in truth one could submit ANY pics which don't even belong to that property.

Sorry for such a long post...i'd appreciate any responses....

Pancake...

Why do you feel the need to explain it?

Does the letter say that he currently lives there alone? If not he should mention that in the letter.

Also, why not include a few photos of the place, if only to prove that the place is not just about to fall down!

Not exactly correct. They sometime use this to check on things like that.

Just type your grandpas address and it will almost certainly be there

Thank you so much for replying guys. I greatly appreciate it...

Actually i feel its important to mention the entry on 10th and exit on 11th jan as my original e-ticket was from 10th-15th...and the ECO might question why i came back early...
