bank statements

Post by pancake » Sun Aug 01, 2010 1:55 pm

Just wanted to know...are bank statements the only way to show readily available cash?
I mean is it ok to just show wage slips if you've started a new job 2 months ago (without depositing the money into your account?)

I'll really appreciate any responses...

Bank statements are an essential requirement of the application and must be provided.

The statements give a good indication of your ability to save money to support your family. As far as the ECO is concerned it shows him all your incoming and outgoing expenses which will help him to decide whether you have the ability and finance to support your family in the UK without recourse to public funds.

If you do not provide them, then there is a possibility that your spouse visa maybe refused on teh grounds that the ECO is not satified on the balance of probalities that you are not capable of supporting your spouse if and when they arrive here.

I would recomend that you delay your application for 3 months or so to enable you to save yourself some money in your bank account for which you can send at least 3 months wage slips/ bank statements,

The choice is yours though
