UK HSMP and Credit Check

Post by naveed Khan » Wed Aug 25, 2010 9:58 am

Hello there,

I have stayed in UK around 3 and half years and completed my MSc degree. It was my loved ones who have utilized my personal details in negative way and the situation has been revealed to me later that around 9K pounds has been utilized under my name - through Credit Card ATM fraud and other shoppings - These transactions have taken place whilst I was in UK and some of them took place after I left UK. The time I left UK was March 2006.

Now I am planning to come back and I have just checked my HSMP option - and it has given me a positive signa I am still having scray feelings to put on my current details on the immigration site. Now my questions are as follows,

1) Can I Safely apply for HSMP
2) In case of rejection? Will I be able to have a normal life like I am or the Immigration team will have my details and they can use those details to get the amount recovered from me?
3) If I get the HSMP visa, will it be safe for me to land UK? Will there be any questions asked related to this? or will i be taken as a fresh entry and I will not even face any thing?
4)Will the visa officer get my history checked in terms of fraud etc?

I have tried my best to give all the details and exactly what I am feeling in order to apply this. I would really appreciate your answers in this regard.

Regards

HSMP closed in 2008. You may apply for Tier 1 (General) instead.

Dont worry my friend, Just go straight and apply for Tier-1, Nothing gonna happen. Nothing will be checked. As long as you dont have a criminal background, you are OK. Credit is civil offence, not criminal. A friend of mine was at the same situation like you, he applied for Tier-1 and got it. He then been to UK and he was very optimistic about his fresh start their, leaving the past behind. The only draw back is you wouldn't be able to get any loan or credit card for 6 years. after that you will be OK. Dont worry about immigration, they have nothing to do with it. its your credit file that is demaged.
