earning proof for Tier 1 General

Post by bhupen_rec » Tue Sep 14, 2010 8:01 pm

Dear All ,

I have all the points now to apply for the Tier 1 application.
Before I could not apply because I was calculating 12 months of my salary but later I realised that in Belgium we get 13 month of salary.

I hope the 13 months salary we get in the year end ( we get salary for two months instead of one) .

So regarding the proof :

will it be sufficient if I can take document from my employer here in belgium sating my earnings ?

or I have to take documents from other sources too?

Thanks in advance .
Best Regards,
Bhupendra KUMAR

Is this additional component a bonus (or something similar) or advance payment of salary of first month of the next year?

Hi ,

this is a 13 month salary , you can consider it as an additional month ( not an advance ) and also addition to it , I get money for my holidays.

All these things , I get at the end of the year .

Like for example :

At the end of the year I get salary for 2 months
But I am confused , how to document all these things ...

Please help me.

If you get a separate payslip (13th payslip), then it may not be possible for you to include this additional component to claim points.

But if this additional component is included in the 12th month's payslip then it should be okay. If you can share how this additional component is reflected in the 12th month's payslip, people may be able to give you a definite answer.

Payment in lieu of holidays, if reflected in the payslips, can be used to claim points.

Hi ,

I will get the 13th month salary on the last month payslip. So, it is not seperated.

Also in belgium , here we get the summary of whatever income we do and in that summary they mention the benefits which we get at the end of the year.

I was wondering can claim those income for the point or not . Because that income which i will get will be once and only at the end of the year.

Thanks a lot from your prompt responses.
Thanks a lot .

If the benefits you are referring to are like cash payment as in a bonus. Then yes if this is paid within your claimed earnings period, it can be counted as part of your earnings.

It is fine that there are two payslips for the same date/month. In your cover letter or past earnings explanation, mention that you received two payslips and one is for benefits received.

One more thing I wanted to ask :

From the company I get restaurant ticket of 7 euros ( 7 x 21 ) for each working day every month.

So, can I also show this as my income in the cover letter .

this restaurant ticket is not mentioned in my pay slip because it is like a voucher.

So can I also include this in my income ?

as a proof for this income , i have one document from the company which says that i get 7 euros as restaurant ticket every month.

thanks for the help guys ..

I really appreciate your effort .
