hi . i am in a critical situation. my visa goona end my 15th of october. me and my partner apply for coa in 2nd of july , its more than 12 weeks now. but still no reply from ho. i called them but they said they cant say anything before 14 weeks. but my visa finishing by middle of next month. n my passport along with my gf passport in the homeoffice. in the mean time can anyone please advise me what can i do?

Ask for passport to be returned as that you can leave UK before expiry of your visa.
Applying in the UK - certificate of approval wrote:If you have sent any documents with your application for a certificate of approval and you would like them returned to you, please fill in the return of document request form for certificate of approval applications and email it to: COA.RODRequests-@UKBA.gsi.gov.uk. You can download the return of document request form under 'related documents' on the right side of this page. Once we have received your request form it can take up to twenty working days for your documents to be returned.
