Never mind mate. The most difficult is done.SMOOTH OPERATOR wrote:That was wot i requested but the fella on the phone said my boss said when u come here on the 14 of Oct. we will verify wot we need to and go ahead. I said but i want a private ceremony and he said erm.....u still need to book an appointment. Afterall u might not need one. And i said if a private ceremony takes 15 mins. Is it not a matter of coming over ther and doing the ceremony as i am away for a work trip to Kuwait next week and he mumbled again at this point i said to myself dont make life hard for the guy over phone and i said ok then.

comes from the council after they have received a letter from the home office. So u will receive 2 letters in one envelope. usually comes after a week or so. for the private oath it really depends on ur council. i kno someone who had taken a oath the same day they received they invitation letter but it was because someone had cancelled.1963British wrote:UKBA approval letter was just received by next day special delivery.
Does the Oath Invitation letter come from UKBA or the local council?
Typically, what is the date on the Oath Invitation letter compared to the approval letter?
How many and how soon, have others gone on to a private oath after receiving the approval letter?
I am guessing that the certificate would be printed and mailed to the council the day after the approval letter, any other guesses?
Thanks!!
