Register for British citizenship at the consular section, British Embassy/High Commission.
Apply for a British passport.
Travel to the UK using British passport.

Chapter 6 wrote:6.3.2 Minor applicants

6.3.2.1 If the applicant is a minor, a parent or the person having responsibility for the child would normally make the application. There is nothing in law to prevent minors making their own applications but in such cases it may be necessary or desirable to have the consent of the parent(s) or responsible person(s).

Hi
I did apply a visa for my son as dependent to the British overseas counsellor and they called me requesting withdraw of my current application and re-submits a settlement application form for my son and visiting application form for my parents to bring my son to UK.

They all got visa ( my parents as visitor and my son who born in UK before i got ILR got 2 years visa say visa to join parents).

Although i am so happy to have my son back with us but not happy from the result of his application , i expected a ILR for him as he born in UK and i am now settled in UK.

i want to apply for a British passport for him but not sure if first i should challenge the overseas British counsellor decision or just forget about it.( they draw the fees for both applications) :x
Also his brother 3 and half years old got a 2year spouse visa last October can I apply for British passport for him at the same time with his brother.
please advice.
thanks all

Why didn't you register him as a British citizen?

That assertion was contrary to Chapter 6 > 6.3.1.2 and

If they are elsewhere, you should send them to the nearest British Consulate, Embassy or High Commission.
However, if you or your wife are considering applying for British citizenship, then it may now be cheaper to wait and register both your sons at the same time.

Note that only British citizens may apply for British passports.
