Student Visa to Partner Visa

Hi,

I was wondering what kind of check does the caseworker do when he start processing a file. Will he be verifying all the documents that we submit. Can they check our personal account details without our permission.

Eg: MY GP said unless i give them the permission the medical center wont allow anybody to check my medical history or what soever details to anyone.

Does it be the same for other organizations such as Banks, Utility Bill companies etc..

Im asking all above for my info as Im not worried about the docs that I have submitted.
