Multiple extensions

Post by a12345 » Fri Mar 18, 2011 2:36 pm

Hi,

If someone applies for extension and gets it for two years but goes for another extension just after one year completing on first extension (due to any possibility, say 6 years ILR rule (just saying it while knowing it has been discussed on this forum already) so that he gets a year overlapping on two applications but on the other hand gets an additional year, which will save him points that he could lose due to passing through age band should he go for further extension.

Q1: Is it possible?

Q2: If yes to Q1 then how many times can one put applications this way?

Thanks : :!: :)

Yes, it is possible by all means as per current rule.

It comes from immigration rules - which do not state a limit on number of extensions. See 245D. Period and conditions of grant.
From 06-Apr-11, immigration rule 245CB will become effective - which also does not state any limit on number of extensions

As simple as that!
