NATWEST (Maintenance) Letter/Stamping Problem

hi great forum.

I need ur help.

I am applying for my wife dependent visa back-home in few days. Natwest refuse to stamp my on-line statement. Also they are not giving me the required letter ? (Maintenance purpose)

They only gave my statement ( 3 months) with black and white Natwest logo with stamp. no signature

I argued with them for about 40 mins but they are very strict in letter and on line statement stamping

now the worry with me is that Will this electronic ( printed in bank on the spot) statement will be accepted by British embassy or not??

Also i ordered my historical three months statement. I will get in post in few days?
What should i do?

go to a different branch and tell them to print the statement for time period you require and ask them to sign it. I faced the problem and i went to different branch and i asked them to print the statement and stamp it for me and they did it. Strange but it worked for me so you should try the same.

but if we get the statement ( stamp and sign). then I we need letter or not??. for Mantanance?

the statement which Natwest gave is without my name. Its only have account number and account type like below

Account transaction details
At 31 May 2011 9:11 am
First Reserve Account no= xxxxxxx

So will this statement with out my name and address will be accepted?

Ooooo, that's a no-no. Rules state that 'the personal bank or building society statements should clearly show:

your name;
the account number;
the date of the statement;
the financial institution's name and logo;
transactions covering the three-month period;
that there is enough funds present in the account; and
that there has been enough money present in the account for the past three months.'

If they're giving you statements without your name on it, you have to insist that a letter be attached, or try and get the proper statements.

Then again, instead of battling with them, just wait for the ones you ordered to come in by post.

I order last 3 months statement over the phone from Natwest. Lets hope i get it soon and with all the HOME OFFICE requirements.

the online statements provided by bank is different than the postal ones .. i had same issue and the local branch advised me to order for postal statements which costs 50p per sheet ..the only difference is that the postal bank statements contain your name account details , bank logo etc ..perfect for home office applications ..good luck viper

The Natwest Branch at Bank station (in London) gave me a letter stating my name, account number and that I held the minimum funds £xxxx for the 3 month period between xxxx to xxxxx.

I would advise getting the letter as it is a much safer option and removes chances for the ECO to make any mistake.

My branch address in of LEWISHAM(southeast london). If i go to bank and ask for the letter, will BANK Station branch will issue me the required letter.

AND IF the order postal statement is not enough then I should try the Bank Station branch? What you Guys suggest for me. I am applying for my Wife ECO ??

The bank statements you ordered to be posted to you are enough. Anything else you want to add is just extra documentation.

If you still want to get the letter from the bank you can go ahead, but your statements (that you've ordered) are more than okay.
