Dependent Visa

hi All,

I am new to this forum.

am living in the Uk for last 16 months on a Tier 1 General visa and am planning to get married in the uk and my girl friend is on student Visa studying in the uk from last 15 months. After the marriage, Can she convert her Student visa to a dependent Visa? while she is in the uk? or do we need to go back to india and apply for the dependent visa??
